Well, how about for the next few years?

I urge Secretary Tillerson to reconsider his attendance at NATO next month and send a strong signal of our unwavering support for the alliance.

Would you talk about those two aspects, and would you support a few thousand more American troops to get the job done in this mission?

Your testimony would be that this has not happened because the support among the Afghan people of our efforts has diminished.

The Afghan Government controls 57 percent of the country's districts. A year and a half ago, that figure was 72 percent. What happened?

You had strong praise for President Ghani. How is the relationship there between the president and Mr. Abdullah who is his nearest competitor?

As a matter of fact, several years ago, there was a loya jirga convened of most Afghan leaders, and they overwhelmingly were in support of the United States presence there to protect them against what had happened before.

Do the Afghan people support the presence of the United States there?

These will undoubtedly help bring broadband services to rural and hard to reach areas.
