I believe once he is removed and we are going to see humanitarian aid begin to flow into Venezuela.

And so, we currently have, for lack of a better term, a dictator who is refusing humanitarian aid and a country of great crisis.

I think that what we are looking for is exactly what the testimony is; is about parity with respect to the way Congress is treating tribes.

No, sir. I mean, that is exactly the point that tribal leaders are bringing to you today is that they are no different than states, than the United States.

This bill promises equal treatment, but I believe that it has created an elitism.

There needs to be a principle established of equal rights for equal representation and equal service.

America is not, as my colleague has said, a theocratic society.

It's to right wrongs. It's to right injustices.

I hope that doesn't come as a great surprise to you.

This sets aside same-sex couples as an elite class, and those same benefits would be denied to opposite-sexed couples who choose not to marry.

I do believe that this creates an opportunity for abuse.

We have families that we love, that we need to take care of, just as you do.

This issue is hard only because we make it so.

I do encourage that this bill will be defeated.
