I would absolutely agree. The issue we have is we have a situation where we have a country that is in desperate need and has traditionally been a source of frustration for its own neighbors, disrupting the security of its own neighbors and contributing to terrorism and making us less safe here at home. The question that I would have is when FDR decided that we were going to take Hitler out of Germany, did we ask how much it was going to cost? As I hear our friends on the other side of the aisle lambasting what is going on and lambasting the costs, it is a terrible cost to pay. I do not want to have to pay anything like that. It is something we have to watch over closely and make sure it is well spent, but we cannot not afford to pay it, and when they are talking, I say what if this was FDR? What if this was World War II? Would the same thing not apply? If we look at what we did in Germany, what we did in Japan, we had the best track record of setting a region anew, setting a country anew.
