I am fond of saying now I have more metal in my neck than in some of my bicycles, because they are carbon fiber and these are titanium rods and screws, and I am learning to live in a different way with this new architecture in my cervical spine. But it is a good feeling to recover use of hands and arms and be able to function fully and normally. I am grateful to both gentlemen for their good wishes and for all those colleagues who sent good wishes and cards and good eats.
