I want to offer a correction of my own. In my statement I said we held 2 years of hearings on ISTEA before bringing the legislation to the House floor. I felt this provision should at least have had hearing, not 2 years of hearings. At least a half day of hearing, at least an hour of hearing the issue would have been sufficient.
