As a mom, I know how important youth sports are for our kids, but thanks to private equity firms monopolizing sports leagues and jacking up prices for parents, sports are becoming less and less accessible to everyday folks.

But the only way we pass any of the progressive policies that all of us here support is by winning elections and taking damn majorities.

It’s not really democracy when 1,200 people get to pick who our candidates are in America. It doesn’t allow every voice to be heard.

What we need is good farm policy, not ad hoc assistance.
