Today we have a hearing with three goals: The first is to review the scale and scope of the metal theft problem as a criminal problem; we want to assess the threat that it poses to public safety and our critical infrastructure; and we want to consider possible legislative solutions to the problem and hear new recommendations and suggestions, especially from the law enforcement community.

Perhaps most alarmingly, those same House Republicans who decry socialism on one hand are pushing American farmers to take more money from the government and less from the marketplace. That sounds a lot like socialism to me.
There clearly was some through line with abortion because of the groups that were on the list and other things that I’ve heard were in this manifesto.
My answer? Everything we hold faith in across this country — including our economy — is glued together by law.
This means more seniors, veterans, people with disabilities and children will go to bed hungry. It means farmers, who are already operating on razor-thin margins, will see billions in lost revenue.
