As chairman of the Energy subcommittee, I want to make sure that we're doing everything we can to secure our electric grid.

I am not convinced. If this deal goes through, Comcast will control about 40 percent or more of the broadband market.

I am worried that this deal simply continues a trend of media consolidation, a trend that has led to increasing prices for consumers.

I am against this deal because I believe it does not meet either test.
