This immediately brings to question the filibuster and I was encouraged that Joe Manchin in this audio that was released the other day by the intercept, has said that he is open to a modification of the filibuster.
It would be insane to default. Absolutely insane. We can`t do it. The dollar is the default currency of the world. We can`t let it not be.
Mitch McConnell is cynical. Mitch McConnell is in this, and the Republican Party right now doesn`t stand for anything, I think, other than maybe for low tax cuts for their donors.
I think Mitch was afraid they would be forced into doing that. They feel forced to do it. This though gives us time to pass build back better.
