As Michiganders, we know the long-term health of our fisheries is critical to our fishing industry, economy, and way of life.

This clean continuing resolution ensures that another costly government shutdown does not befall the American people while Congress continues to complete the appropriations process in regular order.

Last year, congressional Democrats triggered the longest full government shutdown in American history, disrupting air travel, critical services, and nutrition assistance.
