As Michiganders, we all understand the vital role the Great Lakes play in our livelihood and way of life.

I am proud to see the subcommittee consider my legislation, the bipartisan PLAN for Broadband Act, which would increase coordination among all relevant federal agencies so we can close the digital divide.

I commend him for his service, which serves as an inspiration to us all.
