Today, House Republicans took the first step in the budget reconciliation process to address urgent national priorities that the American people have been asking for.

I am honored to recognize Sam Dougherty whose continued service and dedication to serving others represents the best of our armed forces.

I urge the Senate to quickly pass the budget resolution so we can begin the process of securing our elections, supporting our troops, and providing certainty for our food supply.

The legislation enhances the quality of life for servicemembers by increasing their pay by 5 to 7 percent, as well as improving housing, education, and access to childcare for military families.
