I personally feel like when we see the loss of affordable housing in a city like mine, it is because we legalized this kind of speculation.

I am going to start calling my neighbors who are struggling with housing--these are our, 'low-wage neighbors.'

I am really frustrated from hearing colleagues--it is not immigrants or China we are talking about here.

So, I need all of you to address racial equity. What that means is understanding environmental racism and reversing decades of it.

I want you all to know that environmental racism showed its face in a deadly way during the pandemic in my district...

So, sheriffs affiliated with CSPOA have spoken in defense of militia-based terrorists who has tried to kidnap Governor Whitmer.

The fact that some are trying to shift the focus away from white supremacy to Black Lives Matter movement is an example of upholding white supremacy.

Any of my colleagues that even have so sort of empathy towards Palestinians, they do it quietly with whispering because they continue to be intimidated and bullied by those that want to continue the status quo apartheid in Israel.

I could not agree more.

If the FBI was proactively engaged enough that the agency tried to discourage extremists from traveling to D.C. on January 6, they were clearly concerned about the potential for violence at the National Capitol.

This is not some movement that just came about. It came about because, you know, state-funded violence killed their children.

I work closely with the Movement for Black Lives, and these are folks that are really trying to push real efforts to try to recognize many of my black neighbors' right to live without feeling truly unsafe or feeling like their own…

Congress, I believe, has a duty to the 3.5 million people of the U.S. territories, to undue the separate and unequal status quo...

We must include our brothers and sisters in the U.S. territories and make their fights our own as well.
