These are folks, residents who have to take on the big banks, the mortgage companies, the credit card companies, the credit reporting agencies.

I want you to know that this has been an incredible experience being on this committee with you as the chairwoman.

But I think the American public needs to know. This is huge.

It actually is now disparate impact, and is impacting the majority of Black drivers across our nation.

But I also read, and you can correct me, is it 40 percent of Americans filed bankruptcy because of medical debt?

I just want to acknowledge and appreciate so much that you have made it a priority to address the medical debt crisis in our country.

I just want all my LGBTQ+ neighbors in my district and throughout the country just to know, because of you, I believe our communities are better and more beautiful.

What are we doing to make LGBTQ community unsafe in this Chamber?

Nearly 20 percent of all hate crimes are now motivated by LGBTQ+ bigotry in our country.

Are we going to sit here and just try to create these cute little narratives that sound good politically?

The FBI does not categorize domestic violence based upon political viewpoints.

We do have an issue in the United States with domestic terrorist violence. There is an issue. But it's across the political spectrum.

The threat to democracy comes--if these are the people who are in charge of, you know, complying with the rule of law...

You know, I want to begin with submitting for the record, if I may, an article that specifically talked about how the Buffalo shooter--shooting suspect says his motive was to prevent eliminating White race.

White supremacy must be defeated, as must all extremism. This is our mandate as adults for our children.

The message is the shaming of human beings. No child should be shamed.

This is an ideology that I call the woke army. It is an ideology of activists who are going through America's school districts and our communities, and what they are doing is a threat to democracy.

I really think the Fed is taking, literally, a sledgehammer to the demand with so many sectors working on this issue.

We need these Equitable Housing Finance programs because whole regions of the country are credit-starved.

Chairwoman Waters from day one, from the first day I entered into Congress, has said that housing is infrastructure.
