We need to enforce our nation's fair lending and housing laws, but we also need to make sure the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau can enforce our nation's consumer protection laws.

Discrimination is not a relic of the past. It remains a problem in our housing sector.
We need to truly enforce them in a way that, again, pushes back against what we know is very much systemic racism within the banking industry.
We deserve to do better. I remember Chairman Cummings constantly reminding us that we can be better.
We could do so many things bipartisan in this Committee. I know it, and I think we are right now really missing out an opportunity to do that.
And, you know, I know my colleagues on the other side, we all have a clean water crisis.
I commend this move, which will bring much-needed transparency to our housing market.
Rulemaking is not enough. Implementation matters, and it is going to take resources.
What I hear is the different regulatory environments that we are creating. What does it mean? What is regulatory, what is it, arbitrage? What does that mean?
