I think that they are pandering to a group of people who, frankly, are folks who don’t understand what Michigan is about.

The primary is over now. We come together. One team, one fight, one mission to save Michigan. To those who supported me, thank you. And for those who did not, I'm going to work every single day to earn your trust.

Tonight, I ask every Michigander: Republican, Democrat, Independent, none of the above, I don’t care. Join us. This is bigger than any one party. We are all Michiganders, and we’re all one nation under God.

We need to have a plan to protect our communities. Until we do, then we have to make sure that we have local control.
