This legislation represents an entirely new front in the war against women and their families.

Whether to become pregnant, whether to continue a pregnancy, or whether to terminate it has long been a right protected by the Constitution.

It is not like this hasn't been worked on before. So I offer that proposal for your examination and, hopefully, action.

Why don't we get the Smith proposal and my proposal and meet with Eric Holder and the deputy assistant attorney general and come up with a bill and let's just move it along.
