It is my pleasure to yield such time as she may consume to a senior member of the Judiciary Committee, my longstanding friend and supporter for many years, the gentlewoman from California, the Honorable Maxine Waters.

I fully support it. And I think the case will be made very clearly here this morning.

The President's decision and the Administration's action is fully supported by legal precedent.

I must observe that it is a little bit unusual, maybe unfortunate, that in the year 2012 we are still debating how and when women can have access to birth control.

I believe that the President, and Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius have crafted an reasonable and balanced approach that respects the rights of conscience and the right to equality under the law.

H.R. 4078 represents the ultimate in legislative foolhardiness.

The whole idea of strengthening the economy, creating jobs, safer--safer conditions for citizens, the unintended impeding of everyday government action, and the strengthening of America.

Congress should act to make it a crime for businesses to recklessly expose consumers or workers to deadly products or working conditions.

Finally, there isn't any credible evidence that regulations have any substantive impact on job creation.

This is legislatively unwise because the measure fails to acknowledge the fact that regulations play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of Americans as well as through the economic well-being of our Nation.

I enjoy this conversation quite a bit, because it is almost as if no one here in the room recognizes that this matter is going to court.

The American people are paying for fully staffed courts and are getting obstructionism and vacant benches. Reckless behavior such as this is irresponsible and a waste of taxpayers' dollars.
