I am the proud representative of a region in this country that was known, decades ago, as the arsenal of democracy.

My major concern is about the security of our power systems, our power grid, or airports, especially our municipal drinking water and sewage systems.

Because of that, I am very concerned that the new broadcast spectrum auction... could really pose a problem to many of the people that I represent who are senior citizens or disabled, who are struggling financially.

If that happens, many of the people that are the most vulnerable, less likely to get information from any other source, may not be able to get an emergency alert in the event of an emergency.
