I always will continue to be a strong supporter of women’s rights and freedoms, but that’s never going to stop me from caring about and fighting for men, too.

Michiganders have spoken loud and clear: they support these protections and they expect their leaders to act.

It is extremely important that we have a strong framework in place to put Michigan in the lead on data centers and keep us competitive for transformational projects that grow our economy and create thousands of good-paying jobs.

The proposed ICE detention center in Romulus was widely opposed by the local communities.

We put together a heck of a record in 2023 and we are starting 2024 ready to rock.

This year let’s keep our foot on the accelerator by continuing to focus on the issues that make a real difference in people’s lives.

To improve education, let’s deliver a budget that expands free pre-K for all and makes community college tuition-free for every high school graduate.

Let’s build more housing to expand supply and lower costs, and save family caregivers thousands on their taxes.

Finally, let’s keep bringing supply chains and jobs back home to Michigan by shoring up our economic development toolkit so anyone can ‘make it’ in Michigan.

I look forward to sharing my vision with my Republican and Democratic partners in the legislature. Let’s roll up our sleeves and keep getting things done.

By working across the aisle, we have cut taxes by a $1 billion for seniors and working families, fed every student free school meals, build a ton of housing, and fixed a lot of roads.

We still face big challenges, but I know that if we all play on the same team—Team Michigan—we can win.
