Cash awards totaling $1,442,536 were paid for these adopted suggestions, based not only on the tangible first-year benefits of $74,347,607.94 which were realized therefrom, but also on many additional benefits and improvements of an intangible nature.
Subject to the provisions of section 1 of this order, and in the absence of any contrary delegation or direction by the Director, the Secretary of Commerce shall perform the functions set forth in sections 4 (a) (1), (2), (4) and 4 (b) of the Act.
