“I often have those who have paid their dues and served time calling the congressional office back in Tennessee asking for assistance in trying to get a job to support their family. They have a hard time getting a job. What worker in America cannot go to work for 7 or 8 months and claim that they are on the job? We claim that we are busy around here. We all know better. We know that we are not accomplishing much legislatively here in this Congress.”
