We have not been acting quick enough. I do not think there has been enough coordination, which is part of the Act is to make sure that this is not just science.

The BRAVE Act will make funeral benefits for non-service-connected deaths the same, regardless of where the veteran passes away.

This bill would increase the maximum amount payable by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the burial and funeral expenses of certain veterans.

We owe it to them to ensure that they receive the benefits that they have earned through their service.

Unfortunately, I think it was weakened as it came out of the House. We are hoping to strengthen that to make sure that we get everybody on the same page when it comes to forecasting these weather events, which can be extreme.

Are we confident we are searching in the right way for civilizations that may be so far advanced?

I believe we should honor our Nation's heroes by making commonsense updates to VA burial benefits.

In my understanding, it is not a question of if we are going to have a big event. It is just when.
