I think without question probably our number one national security risk are potential cyber attacks.

I fully support the need for robust cybersecurity.

We are seeing fewer firms, less dynamism, less business formation. Also, that can slow growth.

Share buybacks don't do anything. And, in fact, share buybacks will increase the stock price.

In fact, I think it was interesting that today in Bloomberg there is an article, "Trump's Tax Promises Undercut by CEO Plans to Reward Investors."

In the Coast Guard authorization bill, we have language to create a national center of expertise that will focus on improving freshwater oil response.

I'm pleased to introduce Dr. Guy Meadows, who is the Director of the Great Lakes Research Center.

I have developed plans for a Center of Excellence on Oil in Freshwater.

I will go on the record to say that the Coast Guard is not semper paratus for a major pipeline oil spill in the Greater Lakes.

Back in March, I was part of a bipartisan group of Senators that prevented the administration from cutting the Coast Guard's budget by $1.3 billion.

We cannot tolerate it as the United States.

Do you think legislation is required to address domestic terrorism?

I would look forward to working with you on that as well to see what may potentially need to be done.

If confirmed, will you commit to studying this issue and include the perspective of America's ethnic and religious minorities in that assessment as you are moving forward?

I would hope that you would commit to visiting Michigan as well given the concerns that have been expressed on a regular basis to me from that very large and vibrant and active community in the State of Michigan.

I am concerned that this Administration has failed to give these incidents the full weight and the attention that they certainly deserve.

Law enforcement should, in my mind, continue to engage community leaders across the country.

Will you ensure that that happens, if confirmed?

There needs to be some strong liability.

To me, what we need to do is, from an incentives standpoint, is if you're giving information of mine, and I did not ask to have that information given...

But that is only with your company. This information, as we heard, can now be used for any of the other access to any other credit reporting agencies.

So we have to worry about this the rest of our lives.

I can't think of a clearer definition of gross negligence anywhere.

This is an incredibly important topic, and I think it angers most folks as they hear about this incident.
