My amendment does not address how long these should be in effect. I would guess that if this amendment is accepted, as I think that it will be, it will be for the length of the bill, which--is this a 1-year authorization?

I think, with all governmental policies, there is a balance of costs and benefits.
The first would be expanding energy production in the United States. So, of course, one way to do that is through oil and gas, but other ways is through renewable energy.
