Fred Upton: “This law has not been updated in nearly 40 years.”

At a time when we are seeing the highest rates ever--100,000 folks, man, in 2020--it is so disturbing that the administration seems to be favoring weakening penalties for drug traffickers.

I don`t think we have had so as many folks in that sort of wing of the party elected as we had before, but I think they`re very popular back at home.

I think, with all governmental policies, there is a balance of costs and benefits.

It is really sad on an important issue like this.
