Why don't we want to give the President any credit?

It seems like this President gets no credit for anything. Nothing. Zilch.

We just have to have the will to get it done. And we will get it done.

I certainly understand the logic behind free market principles, but I think we need to recognize that private corporations are not going to necessarily look out for the poorest, the sickest, and the least fortunate among us.

The Federal Government therefore deserves a great deal of credit for doubling, doubling life expectancy for Americans, as well as for tackling a long and ever-changing list of problems regarded as the worst enemies in the Nation's health.

What in the world are we doing here?

The impact on veterans is just one example of the toll the shutdown is taking on Americans.

Speaker Boehner could end the shutdown this morning, like right now, by simply allowing the House of Representatives to vote on legislation to reopen the government.

The arbitrary and shortsighted approach that governing by crisis is hurting the economy.

Their approach puts the ideology of one political party ahead of the interests of our entire Nation.
