I can't let this point pass without thanking my senior Senator from Maryland, Senator Mikulski, for her exceptional efforts with regard to these funding issues.

We looked at the issue of two things: how can we make sure young people got a very good education when they went to college, to make college more available and make it more affordable.

This is going to be a great hearing and a wonderful report.

Thank you very much, Mr. Chairman, for your leadership on this, and also the leadership of Senator Murray.

I am concerned that this level of funding will set the U.S. back in its goal of helping establish an AIDS-free generation.

The President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) has been regarded as one of the most successful global health programs in history.

Unfortunately, the pace of new treatment enrollments for PEPFAR declined for the first time ever in 2014.

In behalf of the women of the Senate, but really everywhere, we want to thank the good men on this Committee, because this is not only a woman's issue, this is a human being issue, this is a human rights issue.

Well, we feel the same way and, particularly, on the issues related to outreach and education.

I thank Senator Boxer. As chairman of the Appropriations Committee and lead author of the fiscal year 2015 Omnibus appropriations bill, I agree with her understanding of section 425.

I think we need a functioning NLRB.

We must do something about it.
