They have worked on a bipartisan basis. They have met compelling human needs--in other words, feed America first; see how we can feed others in need around the world; look out for everyone from the family farm to also food safety because now so much of our food is also imported. At the same time, they have supported the Food and Drug Administration. That is an agency located in Maryland that is responsible for oversight of the food supply but also our pharmaceuticals, biotech, and medical devices. My colleagues have spoken eloquently about exports, particularly with food.…”
