John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the 35th President of the United States, serving from January 20, 1961, until his assassination on November 22, 1963. A member of the Democratic Party, he was born in Massachusetts and is often remembered for his leadership during the Cuban Missile Crisis, which brought the world to the brink of nuclear war. Kennedy also established the Peace Corps, promoting international service and cooperation, and he advocated for civil rights, laying the groundwork for future legislation in this area.
I support the administration’s policy towards Quemoy and Matsu over the last 5 years.
It is important to have it understood that on this point the United States speaks with one voice.
My views on the matter in 1954 when the treaty came up are well known.
I hope that after the exhibition is completed here it can go to other parts of the country so that other Americans can see it.
So this was not a question of putting large financial resources into buying it the easy way but instead, day after day, year after year it was built up, and now it is extraordinary.
Some Democrats vote with the Republicans, and have for a good many years.
