We have a moral responsibility to put the fuel economy standards of our vehicles at the highest possible level.

We want to retain that ability to have the highest standards possible.

One national program is essential.

But here it is going to mean Make Arsenic Great Again.

We should have a gold standard of pollution control in this country.

Do you believe that more benzene pollution is harmful to the public health?

Do you believe that more lead pollution is harmful to the public health?

Do you believe that more mercury pollution is harmful to the public?

Do you believe that more arsenic pollution is harmful to the public?

Your decision means that industrial facilities like power plants, or chemical facilities, or hazardous waste incinerators will no longer be required to use state of the art technology--the gold standard--to reduce these harmful emissions.

I think decisions like that should be made by the President and by the Pentagon and not by State officials.

I think we already saw that deadline as a little bit too far out.

I think that's very important, and I think it has to be tailored.

Can we get it done more quickly than 2019? How can we telescope the timeframe to get this done?

Should there be more information... so that it not only warns people but gives them kind of a little bit of guidance.

We also express our appreciation to Senators Heller and Markey for their ongoing support of crash-avoidance technologies.

We wish to acknowledge the leadership of Senator Cantwell, Senator Markey and Senator Young in introducing the Fundamentally Understanding the Usability and Realistic Evolution of Artificial Intelligence Act of 2017.

But since 2009, funding for this critical program has been slashed by over 80 percent, putting a tremendous strain on our public transit systems.

That's why Congress established the Transit Security Grant Program, which provides transit systems with Federal resources to protect critical surface transportation infrastructure.

When it comes to surface transportation security, we need a layered approach--technology, personnel, canines, public engagement.

The internet can be used to spread hate, but it can also be used to spread weapons of war into the hands of those who are the haters and do enormous harm in all of our communities across the country.

So since Instagram can turn into Instagun, you know, for someone who intends on using it for nefarious purposes...

My resolution enjoys the support of Democrats. Susan Collins, the Senator from Maine, has indicated that she will vote for it.

I strongly oppose that FCC decision, which is why I plan to introduce a Congressional Review Act Resolution of Disapproval.

Last month, the FCC gutted the net neutrality rules that protected the Internet as we know it.
