The administration's failure to properly address the border crisis endangers our Republic, bottom line.

The Secretary of Homeland himself stated that we are on track to see the highest number of illegal crossings in over 20 years.

The Remain in Mexico policy should be reinstated.

There is a crisis on our Southwest Border with no end in sight. That is reality.

What we face is unprecedented and should be addressed aggressively and in a bipartisan manner.

I respectfully urge you to swiftly implement a supplemental disaster relief plan that provides for the thousands of severely impacted Americans in Southwest Louisiana.

I remain hopeful that we can advance additional support through Congress in a bipartisan manner.

These Federal commitments have greatly eased the financial burden for local governments.

I look forward to continuing to work with you and your Administration to ensure that Louisiana has the resources it needs to recover from the devastation caused by Hurricane Laura.

D.C. is unique because it was expected to be unique. It was envisioned to be forever unique.

If there is not a crisis or humanitarian disaster at the Southern Border, then may I please suggest we take our FEMA disaster response teams deployed there and send them somewhere where they are needed.
