I am concerned about oppression, Mr. Chairman.

We face significant National security threats that have been made worse by this administration's own policies.

After the Biden administration's disgraceful retreat from Afghanistan the Pentagon is actively warning Congress of the increased likelihood of terrorist attacks on U.S. soil.

Our national sovereignty has been lost at the Southern Border. We have been invaded.

We know that we obviously are concerned about small businesses and making sure that they have the security to operate their businesses via Internet, and cybersecurity is certainly an issue that touches us all.

May I say that we are beyond the time for consideration. It has been 10 months.

However, President Biden and Speaker Pelosi respectfully have been somewhat of an obstacle to the swift approval of supplemental disaster funding for Louisiana.

I ask for your assistance with helping local government in my district fully understand the pre-disaster mitigation grant process and other resources that are available to them.

I respectfully ask that you amplify that request to President Biden.

I ask for your commitment to work with the people of southwest Louisiana to help them navigate through these complexities and to ease their pain.

I respectfully urge you to swiftly implement a supplemental disaster relief plan that provides for the many thousands of severely impacted Americans in Southwest Louisiana.

America faces an unprecedented labor shortage, massive challenges that cause our economic recovery to struggle because of the majority's decision to spend trillions of dollars in deficit spending, paying people to stay home.

I am very sorry that we have hurt our colleagues' feelings by actually showing up in person for Oversight Committee service.

Can you commit today to lead a briefing for me, for interested Members of this committee, and for the Louisiana delegation regarding lessons learned from the Seacor Power tragedy?

This is the type of issue that the Homeland Security Committee should address.

I am not interested in blame. I am interested in what we can do as a Nation to promote marine safety and emergency response by Federal assets like the Coast Guard.
