Our founders would be appalled at what Congress is doing now.

I'm opposed to all foreign aid. I didn't pick on Israel here. I proposed an amendment to defund Egypt and also to defund the aid to Jordan…but I am particularly concerned this year about the foreign aid to Israel.

We should leave the table before any of those cards are played.

Unfortunately, Speaker Johnson has chosen to let the power of our institution atrophy and is doing harm to our constitutional authority by his inaction motivated by political expediency.
