I ask unanimous consent that the mandatory quorum be waived. The PRESIDING OFFICER. Is there objection? Without objection, under the previous order the mandatory quorum call is waived. The question is, Is it the sense of the Senate that debate on the nomination of Anne W. Patterson, of Virginia, a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Career Ambassador, to be an Assistant Secretary of State (Near Eastern Affairs), shall be brought to a close? The yeas and nays are mandatory under the rule. The clerk will call the roll.
