Mitch McConnell: “The Senate has more than sufficient to process a nomination.”

As always, I appreciate all of your continued well wishes, and I’m looking forward to getting back to the Senate and to Kentucky soon.

I’m continuing to do everything they ask to speed my recovery.

As much as it frustrates me, this process takes time. And on the advice of my doctors, I won't be able to return to the Senate floor to vote quite yet.

I’ve also had to deal with a mild case of pneumonia.
