The victory in Iraq belongs to the people of Iraq, and the challenge now falls upon the coalition to repair damaged infrastructure, establish democratic institutions, and vest the principles of freedom and justice in the consciousness and lives of the Iraqi people.

Earlier today, I was discharged from the rehabilitation center to continue my recovery at home.
As always, I appreciate all of your continued well wishes, and I’m looking forward to getting back to the Senate and to Kentucky soon.
