The Clerk read as follows: Mr. Comer moves to recommit the bill, H.R. 8015, to the Committee on Appropriations with instructions to report the same back to the House forthwith, with the following amendment: Add after section 2(c) the following: (d) Penalties for Postal Service Employee Federal Election Tampering.-- (1) In general.--An employee of the United States Postal Service may be subject to disciplinary action consisting of removal, reduction in grade, debarment from Federal employment for a period not to exceed 5 years, suspension, or reprimand if the employee-- (A) knowingly and willfully obstructs or retards the passage of election mail products, or any carrier or conveyance carrying election mail products; or (B) uses his official authority for the purpose of interfering with, or affecting, the nomination or the election of any candidate for Federal office. (2) Application.--Paragraph (1) shall apply to any act that would be a violation of such paragraph taken on or after the date of enactment of this Act.…
