Brett Guthrie: “states make choices. And, you know, Kentucky chose to expand Medicaid”

We have an expansion population that gets 90% federal money, and you have traditional [Medicaid], so a disabled child in Kentucky gets 72 cents when they go to the doctor. And we know that’s just unsustainable.

When so many Americans who are truly in need rely on Medicaid for life-saving services, Washington can’t afford to undermine the program further by subsidizing capable adults who choose not to work.

I do believe he’s going to recover and I hope he’s back in Washington soon. We need him back.
