I am pleading with the members of the Democratic Party: Let's have a vote. Let's have a great debate. We will debate your bill for 2 hours, ours for 2 hours, vote on both of these, and let's get this moving forward. If they want to pass a marriage tax penalty elimination bill, we have the time; we have the place; we have the floor; we can have this vote now. If they do not want to, and really all this is about is: Well, we do, but we are going to block this with eight or nine irrelevant amendments; we are really not that interested in doing this, then that should be said as well.
