“This is a simple parental notification bill which we brought up last time on the Department of Defense authorization bill and agreed to take it on last year because of desires to move the bill forward. We have worked on it a great deal. What it is about is if a child, a dependent of military personnel, seeks an abortion, they have to get parental notification, which most Americans support. Most Americans believe if their child is seeking a medical procedure of any type, they should have parental notification take place.”
