It is refreshing for our committee to hold field hearings away from the Nation's Capital so that we can hear directly from Americans.

It is great for us in this hearing today to be able to talk about the committee's continuing effort to build a society and a culture that values life.

It's always great to get out of the D.C. Beltway and into diverse communities across our great nation to hear directly from Americans who are helped or harmed by the policies that we write or vote on.

I thank the gentleman for speaking about some of the important impacts on businesses within his district.
