We know that immigrants make our country stronger and we are a Nation of immigrants.
This monopoly that is currently in place in our country is hurting average Americans, and especially low-income folks and seniors.
For people who cannot afford access to a P.O. box, the general delivery service is the only way that they can access essential mail, including food benefits, health insurance, housing vouchers, and more.
We know that there are barriers to voting disproportionately for folks that are unhoused, that might be immigrants, or folks that may not have direct access to mail.
First, this has been in -- already at the Ethics Committee for the last three months, and there's been no action. And Kevin McCarthy has not taken action. And so, this is really cop out of there by the speaker to try to give cover to…

This community operates on a P.O. box system, which has led to Avalon residents struggling for years to access mail-in ballots and to be accurately counted on U.S. Census forms.
