Real patriotism, American patriotism, is actually about helping people.

These broad attacks that we are hearing today on immigrants today, I believe is un-American.

What I don't want to do is conflate asylum seekers with the flow of drugs.

I hope we can work together to build a just and humane immigration system in our country, one that respects asylum seekers.

It essentially allows industry to roll out the red carpet, march in, do everything that it wants to do before we even know whether the practice is going to be safe.

Well, in a lot of the calculations that we are talking about in terms of economic investment across the country for energy production, no one is accounting the actual harm that is coming our way because we keep investing in dirty fuels.

One of the reasons why I ran for office many years ago was to make sure that I am a voice for the community that I grew up in.

None. I mean, quite the opposite, right?

we are all going to end up suffering.

Absolutely not. We don't have to choose. We can absolutely do both.

This fund is specifically meant to make sure that low-income and people of color have access to those funds.

the idea here is that we have to make sure that the energy that we produce is clean, but the manufacturing that goes into the creation of that clean energy also has to be clean, and it has to protect communities themselves.

It is imperative that the protections that we have stay in the books.

If they are acting responsibly, why do they want to waive the laws that hold them accountable to acting responsibly?

the less they have to rely on those dirty fuels, the less poisoned air they have to breathe.
