I just want to register right off the bat my strong opposition to the proposal to place a new tax on oil.

Just because the tax hit would be less visible under the current market conditions does not mean that its impact would be less severe.

I think you ought to take a look at the harm that this tax will have on the oil and gas industry and maybe actually help those folks as well...
