The bottom line is that the White House opposes this amendment and supports the bill. I will conclude with the point that I know, because I have spoken with the White House, that the White House does not support this amendment. It opposes this amendment. It does support this bill. It has supported this bill consistently. I think that is important for all the Members of the House to know, but particularly for the Democratic Members of the House who wish to support the continuing commitment to Government reform, and particularly to procurement reform as is accomplished by this bill.
