congratulations, again, to my colleagues. Thank you to the U.S. Senate and its leadership for seeing that a version of the ROTOR Act was passed by unanimous consent.

As we head into the fall and winter, taxpayers expect the government to be prepared to respond quickly and effectively to keep roads open and the public safe, which requires a reliable supply of de-icing salt.

We must reopen the government. I urge my colleagues to pass a clean continuing resolution to reopen the government.
