The kind of leadership we are talking about is: the people that can understand this crowd.

If there is one thing we want--I mean the United States wants--it is good, loyal friends, inspired by the same ideals of human dignity and decency that we ourselves cherish.

Our two nations, despite obstacles set in our paths by others, will continue the march towards peace and freedom.

We must not be either patronizing, resentful, or treat them as a stranger or enemy.
