Joe Donnelly is a Democratic politician from Indiana, born on September 29, 1955. He served as a U.S. Senator from Indiana from 2013 to 2019, after previously representing Indiana's 2nd congressional district in the House of Representatives from 2007 to 2013. They say they have never had the type of care and the type of services that they have received in recent years.
This hearing provides a positive step forward in addressing and resolving these issues.
This hearing provides us with an opportunity to learn of the many changes the VA has taken to improve this program since the Subcommittee on Disability and Memorial Assistance held a hearing last Congress on the VA Fiduciary Program.
It is obvious to me that this policy is just lip service and that needs to change.
By close of business on March 9th, VA must provide its written opinion on what and how they can incorporate aspects of other federal fiduciary programs.
I want to be assured that the VA is improving the program and has a solid roadmap to follow as we move forward.
Holding its fiduciaries accountable through proper oversight is just one way the VA can take modest steps to improve the system.

Right, in reaching out to try to find where our veterans are who may be in need of the service.
It's not good enough merely to have well-intentioned programs. We need effective ones that consistently deliver results and improve the lives of our veterans.
Are you in contact with those health centers to let them know, hey, if you have vets who have issues, who have challenges, you know, talk to them or let them know we are here in terms of employment help as well?
