We thank Senator Durbin for taking this issue seriously and introducing legislation in an effort to ensure more equitable reimbursement for student-veterans attending public schools.

While we support the intention of this bill, which seeks to address the same issue as S. 257, we cannot support this legislation.

Public colleges----get some public support, though in most States it is diminishing at this point.
